Epsilon Sigma Omicron (ESO)
Epsilon Sigma Omicron is an honorary education society open to all GFWC federated club members. More than 60 years ago the ESO program became a permanent part of the GFWC Education Department. Members of ESO are encouraged to read, to expand their reading choices, and their reading pleasure.
ESO Levels
• Pledge: A Pledge has obtained an enrollment application and has started to fulfill the reading requirements.
• Member: A Member has completed four books from four different categories, for a total of 16 books. She is then eligible to wear the ESO pin and receive a membership certificate.
• Star Level: A Star level member has completed four books from ten different categories, for a total of 40 books. She will then receive a Star level membership certificate.
• Torch Level: A Torch level member has completed 75 books from seven different categories. She will receive a Torch level certificate.
• Century Award: A Century level member has completed 100 books. She can continue to read to reach the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Century Award levels, and will be eligible to receive the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Century membership certificates.

To get started send me your Pledge form …and start reading! Click here for a hard copy of the pledge form or here for to email a copy.
When you have read four (4) books in four (4) different categories, choosing from those listed above – a total of 16 books – send me the list of the books you have read.
To complete a category, a member must read and report on four (4) books from that category.
Your only responsibility is to read and keep reading. After you have completed reading four books in any of the categories, send me a list indicating the category, the name of the book, the author, and whether you liked it or not. Those of you who are in book clubs are a natural for the ESO program. You may report book club reading.
Please request Pledge Forms or Book Report Forms from Lill Helming, or download copies from the links on this page. Please note that you may mail me hard copies of the Pledge form, which you have duly signed. Or you may email me a scanned copy of the Pledge Form, which notes that by emailing me you are electronically “signing” the Pledge Form.
